Brightening up passengers’ days

The challenge

Post-pandemic, Network Rail identified the need to do more to support passengers’ mental health as they returned to the workplace. 

The Brighter Journeys campaign was inspired by the natural world, bringing the outdoors into stations in a bid to promote calm and positivity, setting passengers up for the day.

Network Rail’s project coincided with Mental Health Awareness week and created living installations that emulated the great outdoors including birdsong, colour and scent.

A compassionate team was required to oversee the smooth running of the activation.

The strategy
